Autumn 2014

5.

Sit down for a second

on the grass of Spanish Arch

Tell goodbye to the swans

by giving them names...

Soap bubbles are flying around, boats sail away

Do nothing,

just watch and let your subconscious have its own way...

A PLAY

A:  Today I think is there goodbye to a place maybe, then? Place that holds memories which are private to you? Maybe the privacy part is what makes memories special? Because when you leave private, it is accommodated by new.

B:  Which is not yours any more, so you know it is going to change. With seasons, with time, people and with everything else. You afraid it is not going to welcome you? Hey! The world is one private place and it changes constantly, just like you.

A:  Going back to my homeland crosses my memory now. This place has changed enormously, it slightly shocks me each time. And every time I understand that there is no way back, well, for me, anyway. I remember the saying 'been there, done that' and I laugh all the way!

B:  So when you have to go you have to go. You know that. You have to leave the space for others coming, simple as that :)

'It is Galway's loss and Cork's gain'- tells me a friend, ha! As if they didn't have enough mad people down in Cork already- again so we laugh...
